Andechser am Dom: This spacious restaurant is perfect if you want to try classic Bavarian dishes and enjoy the traditional vibes of a classic Bavarian brewery.
Le Du Happy Dumplings: perfect for a lunch or a quick dinner, le Du is the perfect go to spot if you want to eat something and not spend much. Here you can try different types of Dumplings and accompany them with smaller dishes from the menu.
Ruff’s Burger: some say Ruff’s are the best burgers in Munich. A few steps from Marienplatz you can find one of their locations in Munich. We absolutely love their burgers, with fast food vibes but very fresh ingredients and super good quality.

Kennedy’s and Kilian’s: this Irish Pub is a super cool place if you like bars full of people for a beer with friends. At Kennedy’s you can watch sports, hear live music and join their karaoke nights.
Jaded Monkey: this bar is a real hidden tip in Munich. Close to Sendlinger Tor, here you can enjoy their amazing drinks in a location with lowlights and super friendly barmen.

Bayerischer Hof: There are a lot of different options at this amazing hotel in Munich, as it has several restaurants and bars. Our favourite are Trader Vic’s, a tiki-style bar with low lighting and carved wood, and their beautiful terrace, where you can enjoy cocktails with a view over Munich.

The city centre of Munich is the shopping area of the city. Here you can find classic clothing and home decor stores, as well as souvenir shops and shopping malls.

As it is the centre of the city, there is a lot of sightseeing to do in the Munich Altstadt. Check here our favourite spots for a weekend in Munich. There are also a few hidden gems in the city centre, which might be less known compared to the Rathaus or Frauenkirche.
Klein “Airborne” Fountain: this fountain is hidden between some offices close to the Jewish Museum of Munich. As it is in the backyard of some buildings, the entrance to the area is only open during the week.
Asamkirche: in the street connecting Marienplatz to Sendlinger Tor, you have to stop by this magnificent church to admire its interiors.
Kunsthalle: this museum has constantly changing exhibitions, you can find their program here. At the Kunsthalle you will find art installations about design, photography, decorative and modern art.
Judisches Museum: a contemporary multimedia museum with exhibits on Jewish history and culture. Here you can find temporary exhibitions as well as permanent parts of the museum.
MUCA: at MUCA you can enjoy exhibitions of street art, graffiti, urban and contemporary art. This location captures perfectly the urban style of the artworks.
