- Daysofmunich x Ibero Tapas: Celebrate with us on October 20th at Isarpost, where Italian and Spanish music, delectable cuisine, and dancing will mark our anniversary. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people while enjoying a fun atmosphere. We can’t wait to celebrate our birthdays with you and dance all night long. You can find the tickets here.
October: Museums, Parties & Flea Markets
- Lange Nacht der Münchner Museen: On October 14th from 6 pm to 1 am, more than 90 museums, collections, galleries, churches, art spaces, and unique locations will open their doors for the “Long Night of Munich’s Museums.” In addition to their regular exhibitions, these venues will feature special attractions that offer a fresh perspective on art, culture, natural sciences, and technology.
- MH5 Rooftop Parties: Munich’s famous rooftop parties are back in October! Don’t miss “Rituals” on October 14th and “Sabotage” on October 28th. It will be a memorable Halloween party at one of our favourite Munich venues.
- Queer Film Festival: The QFFM (Queer Film Festival München) has been a beacon of diversity in cinema for seven years. It showcases films that challenge stereotypes and highlight intersectional queer perspectives and aesthetics. The Queer Film Festival will take place from the 10th to the 15th of October.
- Auer Dult: For a taste of Munich’s tradition, visit the Auer Dult. Here you’ll get the chance to stroll, shop, savor delicacies, and take a spin on a carousel. The Kirchweihdult, taking place from October 14th to 22nd, 2023, promises a charming Bavarian experience.
- MS Winter Bazaar: What began as a small “flea market” in a private home has grown into one of Germany’s largest purely volunteer-run charity bazaars in 50 years, known as MS BAZAR. Their mission remains unchanged: to financially support Bavarian MS patients and their families. Join them on Saturday, November 18th, 2023, from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, November 19th, 2023, from 10 am to 4 pm.
November: Music, Food Delights and design
- VeggieWorld: Discover the joy of a plant-based lifestyle at VeggieWorld Munich on November 11th and 12th. Enjoy a diverse stage program and indulge in culinary delights, from milk and meat alternatives to superfoods, sweets, and beverages.
- Neon Music Festival: on November 17th, Munich hosts a remarkable event at the Olympiahalle, where three talented local artists, Christian Beschowetz, Martin Römhild, and Benedikt Seifert, will perform their own self-financed Electronic Dance Music and Pop project.
- Tollwood Winterfestival: From November 23rd to December 31st, 2023, the Tollwood Winterfestival offers a free, family-friendly alternative to traditional Christmas markets. Enjoy concerts, street theater, artisan crafts, and organic gastronomy. Over 90% of the events are free, and there’s a diverse children’s program.
- Heim & Handwerk & Food & Life: From November 29th to December 3rd the FOOD & LIFE fair transforms Munich’s A4 and A5 halls into a culinary wonderland. Explore liquid gingerbread, floating cocoa, and Italian delicacies. On the other hand, you’ll get the chance to discover the latest home trends, sustainable fashion, and lifestyle innovations at Heim + Handwerk.
December: Festive Celebrations Await
- Christmas Markets: As December unfolds, Munich transforms into a winter wonderland with numerous Christmas markets. Stay tuned for our upcoming article dedicated to these enchanting markets.
- Cinderella Ballet: Experience the magic of Cinderella at the Bayerische Staatsoper through Christopher Wheeldon’s choreography, which stays true to Grimm’s original fairy tale. More than forty dancers bring this classic story to life, complete with spectacular balls, ornate shoes, and a determined prince.
- Night of the Proms: From December 15th to 17th, the Night of the Proms 2023 promises an extraordinary concert experience. It will feature Toto, Anastacia, James Morrison, and Aura Dione. Classical meets US rock, Danish pop, and British songwriting in this unique musical fusion.
- New Year’s Eve: Munich offers a myriad of NYE celebrations, including a gala at Tollwood, lively club parties, and breathtaking fireworks displays at iconic locations.
