What to do in Munich Westend
Right next to the Theresienwiese, home of the most known beer festival in the world, you can find Westend.

Westend is a lively neighbourhood, away from the most visited areas of Munich. Its streets are full of restaurants and cute cafes, street art and concept stores. In this article you can find our favourite spots in Munich Westend.
Munich, Westend: Cafes and breakfast
Marais: this cute cafe in the heart of Westend will make you feel like you are in Paris. Here you can have breakfast with a cup of coffee and a croissant or sit in the afternoon for a tea and a chat with friends.
Bean Batter: not so far away, Bean Batter is the perfect location for a rainy afternoon. Their specialty are waffles. Here they serve them salty or sweet with a menu changing every month and seasonal ingredients.
Beaver Coffee: small café with their own roasted blends. This is definitely the right place for coffee lovers. Here you can find a lot of different types of coffee: Turkish coffee, cappuccino, filtered and much more.
Fika Ladencafé: this cute cafe opened its doors in Westend in 2022. Here you can have amazing pastries, coffee, lunch and breakfast in the weekend. Do not miss their cinnamon rolls.
Lohner & Grobitsch: if you are looking for the perfect place for a cup of tea and a piece of cake, Lohner & Grobtisch is the place for you.
Notthing Hill: A very pretty location, perfect for a brunch on a sunny day. Here you can choose between one of their colourful breakfast bowls, pancakes or scrambled eggs.
Emilo WESTEND: a small café with great coffee, a selection of cakes and sweet bits.






Munich, Westend: Restaurants
Jiro: one of the prettiest restaurants in the area, with its pink and purple decorations. At Jiro you can find amazing sushi and Vietnamese specialties.
Wirtshaus Eder: at Eder you can enjoy great Bavarian food and an amazing atmosphere. Here you can feel at home and at the same time enjoy their amazing food and special beers.
EATapaS: a nice location, serving food until late in Munich Westend, where you can enjoy a lot of different tapas and a great tinto de Verano. Their goat cheese croquettes are amazing!
King Loui: “a bad place for a diet” stands on their windows. At King Loui you can enjoy amazing burgers accompanied by their delicious fries in an informal location.
Ca Go: Asian fusion cuisine at its best. At Ca Go you can enjoy amazing woks with beef, duck, chicken or vegetarian. Their location is also very pretty, both in and outside.





Munich, Westend: Bars
Schwarzer Dackel: a nice bar, very alive during the weekend. Here you can not only enjoy a drink with friends, but you can also enjoy a shuffleboard match while sipping a cold beer.
Oca Bianca: la dolce vita in Westend. At l’Oca Bianca you can enjoy a great venetian aperitivo, with spritz and cicchetti. The staff is super friendly and the quality of the products is amazing.

Punto Gelato: On warm summer day, you cannot miss the amazing ice cream from Punto Gelato. Here you can enjoy always different flavours and sit in their small terrace.

Tischerie: you cannot miss this beautiful flower store in Westend. Here you can find anything, from cactuses to fresh flowers.
Heisseliebe: one of my favorite stores in Munich. Here you can find a lot of present ideas: clothes, candles, skincare, small notebooks, earrings and much more.
Isar Kollektiv: if you are looking for a Munich themed present, Isar Kollektive is the right place. Everything in their store is produced in Bavaria.
Weissglut: a cute concept store where you can find a lot of different things, from clothes to house decorations. I especially love their cups.

Munich, Westend: what to see
Endless Staircase: hidden between office buildings you can find this endless staircase, a sculpture that everyone interested in urban art and architecture should visit.
Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum: the transportation museum, a museum showcasing old transportation means, from cars to buses. A perfect destination for families and car lovers.
Street Art: a lot of Munich’s street art can be found in Westend. While walking in the streets of this lively neighbourhood you can’t miss all the amazing works on the walls of its buildings.
